Fantastic 2013
Great flu to have such a phenomenal group of students and friends.
I can only share that happiness to those that follow our journey. Is been a great year. So many new faces; victories; achievements.. I will be having to spend days write them down. But for those that do see us, more will come.
So December is getting closer, for that we have a couple events going on.
October 19th we will have 50 competitors at Miami Open 2013. Expecting nothing but the best for them. Wishing the best luck in the world for those that will represent the Ghost Squad.
The week after we will be hosting Master Francisco "Toco" Albuquerque Seminar. October 26th at 11:00am.
In the last one, tremendous success !!!!
Master Francisco "Toco" Albuquerque and Master Rodrigo Medeiros. Founders of Nova Geração Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Which have Michel "Buiu" Porfirio Pereira as they're Black belt 3rd Degree
Then on November 2nd my friend from Florianópolis, Marcelo Delucca will be hosting a seminar at Carlson Gracie Miami. Coming from the legendary pioneer in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in Brazil South Master Tonicão. More info: 3053864103
And keeping busy: Women's Self defense Seminar on November 2nd. Open to all those that feel the necessity to defense themselves. This is 1hour course and englobes all aspects in Self defense. A little hint what Brazilian Jiu Jitsu can do when you know how use it.

Lack...
Lack of times is nothing more than lack of motivation because you make time for what motivates you the most. So, by making time a "motivating" factor, you can use it as a reason to go train Jiu Jitsu and not an excuse to put it off. Florida State. Campeonato Mundial

Saidas..
Escapes...
Yeah, right. The most questionable form for those that practice BJJ.
Getting away from certain positions can be a lil tricky. But with patience and perseverance you always can achieve the right escape. Some classes we asked the best to do so. But we only will figure with more mat time since different bodies are place to challenge ourselves. My opinion in this blog, can reach your stage of thinking in how the next escape can be effective for all of us. When I train, my objective every single time is modified my form of attack. If I make the same move all the time, means in mastering my technique but at the same time I will telegraph what I like most and limited my self.
A tip is always change any type of strategy you have plan for your next spar session. Plan two or five moves per spar so doesn't get too obvious you wanna that specific move.
Have a great week!

Confederation Soccer Cup
Amazing !!!
Soccer in Brazil is like a religion.
In every single square can be transformed in a soccer field. All empty boxes are form goals. Cans can be use as pols. And let me tell you something no matter what we always find a way to watch, play, discuss, get excited and show our passion for this number one sport in every decent country in the world like Rio de Janeiro brazil one of the most beautiful countries in this planet.
Life without soccer is life without water. And sometimes come along with beer.
A good one...

Choke
Besides what we watched Metamoris.. Today I showed a choke from side control. Get to know once you pass someone guard, you get awarded with 3 points.
But remember: you have to control the position for at least 3 seconds.!!!
Having a good control shows a great domination of the Jiu Jitsu you been practicing.
Always respect the ibjjf rules and they're referees since they work really hard for keep the best martial art alive.
However, never stall a fight and always look for the end: pass; smash and SUBIMIT !!!👊👊👊👊👊
Have a great training day!
